Medicine Drop Box

The Point Pleasant Beach Police Department has installed a permanent Medication Drop Box in the main lobby to assist residents with the disposal of unwanted or expired medications. Residents can now bring these medications to Police Headquarters to dispose of them safely.

Household medications in pill, capsule and patch form will be accepted. Liquid medications may be dropped if they are securely sealed in their original container.

HYPODERMIC SYRINGES AND ILLEGAL NARCOTICS ARE NOT ACCEPTED IN THE DROP BOX.

Anyone looking to surrender found hypodermic syringes or illegal narcotics may request to speak to an officer for assistance.

Household cleaners or other chemicals are also not to be placed in the Medicine Drop Box.

Residents will have access to the drop box 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
