Our Mission

The mission of the Point Pleasant Beach Police Department is to provide high quality police service efficiently and effectively to our community by promoting a safe environment through a police-citizen partnership, with emphasis on public peace, integrity, fairness and professionalism. We will strive to make Point Pleasant Beach a safe community.

 We are a police department that embraces the philosophy of Community Policing in its daily operations and functions. Community Policing is based upon the partnerships between the police and the community, whereby they both share responsibility of identifying, reducing, eliminating and preventing problems that impact community safety. By working together, the police and the community can reduce the incidence of crime and improve the quality of life in the neighborhoods.

Our agency employs full time police officers along with SLEO Class II, SLEO Class I, and Parking Enforcement Officers. We are a police department that embraces the philosophy of Community Policing in its daily operations and functions. Point Pleasant Beach prides itself on being the “family community” where people enjoy living and visiting.
